Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Cloudzzy Ltd ("Cloudzzy", "we", "us") is a company registered in England & Wales. We build operational software for trades and field-service businesses. For the purposes of UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we act as a data controller for our own website visitors and business contacts, and as a data processor when we handle personal data on behalf of business customers who use our software.
2. Scope
This policy covers personal data we process through this website and our software platforms, including communications sent on behalf of our customers over SMS and the WhatsApp Business Platform.
3. What data we process
- Business contacts: name, email address and any details you send when you contact us.
- On behalf of customers (as processor): end-customer names, phone numbers, addresses, job details and the content and delivery status of messages sent to coordinate a job.
- Technical: basic server logs needed to operate and secure our services.
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
4. WhatsApp Business Platform & Meta
Where our customers enable WhatsApp messaging, messages are delivered through the WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. We process the phone numbers and message content needed to send job notifications and updates, and the delivery/read status returned by the platform. Meta processes this data in line with its own terms and privacy policy. We only use it to deliver and confirm the communications our customers have configured.
5. Lawful bases
We rely on: legitimate interests (operating and securing our services and responding to enquiries); contract (providing services to our customers); and, where required, consent. When we act as a processor, our customer determines the lawful basis for their end-customers' data.
6. How we use data
To provide and improve our software, to send and confirm job-related communications on behalf of customers, to respond to enquiries, and to meet legal and security obligations. We do not sell personal data.
7. Sharing & sub-processors
We share data only with service providers that help us run the platform — including hosting and database providers, and messaging providers such as Meta (WhatsApp) and SMS carriers — under appropriate contractual safeguards. We may disclose data where required by law.
8. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as our customers instruct, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Message and job records are retained according to the configuration agreed with each customer.
9. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements or equivalent mechanisms.
10. Your rights
Subject to law, you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Where we act as a processor, please contact the relevant business customer; we will assist them in responding. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
11. Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including access controls, encryption in transit, and least-privilege handling of credentials.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
